We moved about a month ago to a new appartment and guess what the place has two or three large rose bushes with red and yellow roses. I remembered I use to make rose water as a kid playing in my moms roses. I never made it right though. So I went on line and found how to boil distiled water, turn it off pop some washed rose petals in let them set over night pour the water in a jar pop it in the fridge and bam I had a wonderful smelling rose water that I use daily for everything from a body spray to a makeup setting spray, face toner, hair spray and room spray.
I also added fresh roses to my room and bathroom and I have to say I have noticed such a marked difference in my mood.
It's hard to stay grumpy for too long if you wake up to a room that smells like roses or fist thing when you open your eyes in the morning you see a pretty rose in your window.
So while I won't say roses will cure depression or moodiness I will say they will help, and when you find something that makes you happy that won't harm you surround yourself with it. For me it's roses right now for you it might be another thing. Just find something you can use to smell the roses.
